Thanks to this Idaho flap, you’ve forfeited your right to ever complain about any program that — due to fear, multinational conspiracy or a plain old lack of respect — declines to schedule you ”.

Okay first of all, I would love to know who exactly has said that Boise State won’t schedule the University of Idaho anymore……. NO ONE has, we have not filled up all the spots for games in the next 3 years. So what I am trying to say is that Boise State never said that we wouldn’t play the University of Idaho. I am almost 100% sure that these two teams will play again in the next 3 years.

Now second of all Boise State President Robert Kustra said “It’s a culture that is nasty, inebriated and civilly doesn’t give our fans the respect that any fan should expect when visiting an away team,” Now what he said was not appropriate and should not have been said. But if you think about during the rivalry game what do the fans do. Name-calling, swearing, and adults not acting like adults should. So what he was trying to say “ why would I support a game like that”. All I’m saying is to think about it.

I also found this article in the University of Idaho newspaper and Ilya Pinchuk said “To be a successful Vandal fan, one must acquire a deep hatred of the blue and orange of the Boise State Broncos. While the name-calling, bashing or vigilante justice against BSU fans can’t be condoned, be warned the world will become a cold, dark place if you ever profess love for BSU on the UI campus.” Now honestly how could a fan have so much hatred for another team that they have to state it in the newspaper. After I read that I checked out Boise State University’s newspaper and found nothing like that. I just don’t get why there is so much hatred for Boise State.

For my last point I would like to say that Boise State is becoming a more elite team. Which is a reason we are moving to a different conference. But look at our schedule for the next couple of years. We are playing Wyoming, Toledo, Tulsa, and Miami(OH). Plus we still have more teams to fill and I will bet you a couple of the will be U of I. Boise State is not turning into snobs, we still get comments about aversion to potential losses, tiny stadiums, miniscule television markets and comically colored playing surfaces. I do not believe that Boise State has ever said that about any other athletic program.

There is another point I would like to add and that is think about how many times a Boise State fan have always congratulated the Vandals on a win or a bowl game win. But the Broncos haven’t ever gotten the respect that they give the Vandals.
