Boise State Broncos VS. Virginia Tech Preview

What to expect from Boise State:

  • Kellen Moore will be very accurate especially when it comes to Austin Pettis and Titus Young.
  • Titus young should be explosive off the line of scrimmage
  • Doug Martin is ready to start for the team, he has worked hard and will be breaking tackles all game.
  • Brandyn Thompson had a great year last year and preformed very well in the 2010 Fiesta bowl with 2 intersections and a defensive touchdown. Expect him to get to the ball quickly.
  • Ryan Winterswyk is looking for an edge to get in the NFL after this year, this game will show if he is ready, expect him to get to the quarterback a couple of times.
  • Special Teams will be on fire this game, Kyle Brotzman will be expected to make some pressuring field goals. Hey maybe he will have to make a game winner.

What to expect from Virginia Tech:

  • Ryan Williams is looking to get past the defense and get in to the end zone.
  • Tyrod Taylor didn’t have a great season last year. He finished with only 13 touchdowns and 2311 yards. He will be looking to throw the ball down field to show what he’s got.
  • Jarrett Boykin is the best receiver on the team and will be looking to get the ball in the end zone, don’t under estimate him.
  • Secondary: Rashad Carmichael the starting senior on this VT secondary had 55 tackles and 6 intersections. He is going to get on the field and do anything to get the ball. Expect all of the VT secondary to be top notch this game.

As a Boise State fan I am not trying to be bias. But I do think that Boise State will win this game. Virginia Tech does not have the quarterback, wide receivers, or the defensive backs that the Broncos have. Virginia Tech has talent at running back and in the secondary. But you have to admit that the Broncos have talent every where on the field. What this game is going to come down to is the defense for both teams. I say the outcome of this game will be Boise State- 31 Virginia Tech- 24.
