This Week at the Diggity’s – 2015 Episode 12 (Always Bet on Blue)

It’s Halloween and you know what? It’s not nearly as scary as it should be. I mean, the Broncos will be playing on a Craps Table at Sam Boyd Stadium. How gimmicky is that field, amirite? Anyways, it’s going to be fun to watch a game in the middle of the day instead of a late starter.  Have fun tonight and GO BRONCOS!

It was a win. It wasn’t a blowout. It wasn’t pretty at all times. But it was a win. Wyoming isn’t the best team ever so everyone thinks the game should have been a blowout. A win is a win… Here are the games that I checked out this weekend: Temple/East Carolina, Cal/UCLA, Memphis/Tulsa, Utah State/San Diego State, Clemson/Miami, Northwestern/Nebraska, Boston College/Louisville, Auburn/Arkansas, Tennessee/Alabama, Louisiana-Monroe/Idaho, Indiana/Michigan State, Utah/USC, Ohio State/Rutgers, Florida State/Georgia Tech, Wyoming/Boise State, and Washington/Stanford… “The Walking Dead” was heartbreaking this week. I won’t give away any spoilers but, dang, they threw a curveball at us… The Broncos didn’t hop back into any of the polls this week. In order to make either of them by the end of the year, they’ll need some luck and to win out Bowl Predictions this week are pretty much what is expected after that misstep 2 weeks ago. CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has the Broncos in the New Mexico Bowl against Rice. The ESPN guys, Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy have the guys against Temple in the Hawaii Bowl and California in the Las Vegas Bowl, respectively… It is now illegal in Pennsylvania to touch the belly of a pregnant woman without her permission. You shouldn’t really be able to touch anyone without their permission but that’s just my opinion… Congratulations to Boise State Cross Country Athlete Allie Ostrander for winning the Mountain West Championship (among a litany of other accolades). She’s only a freshman!…  IMG_2792

We have had a “white person in black face” incident again this year. It was a teacher in Decour, AL. He was dressed as Kanye. His wife was Kim. Their judgement was lacking… The Broncos have announced a home-and-home with Marshall. In 2019, the Thundering Herd will travel to Boise and in 2020, Boise State will head to Huntington, WV. It should be a determining factor for the Group of 5 contender both years… The GOP debate was pretty entertaining. Chris Christie was even more mouthy than Donald Trump. And that’s a tough job… Sad to see Rees Odihambo is out for the season with a broken ankle. He’s a big cog in the wheel for the Bronco offense and he’ll be missed If anyone remembers “Happy Days”, you’ll remember the guy that ran the diner, Arnold’s, where the gang used to hang out.  He passed away this week.

The song of the week is a tribute to the aforementioned Al Molinaro. He had a tiny resurgence in the mid-90s…

Have a great and safe Halloween! Hopefully, it’s a perfect night and Trick-or-Treating will be made even sweeter with a Broncos win! Take care, and remember, spread kindness like confetti! – Mr. and Mrs. Diggity
