This Week at the Diggity’s – 2015 Episode 10 (The Return of Chuckie…Oh Wait)

This may be the Broncos’ toughest stretch of the year with 2 road games and no bye week yet. The team rolled through Colorado State last week but has a hardy task against Utah State in Logan this week. If they pass this test, the road to the Mountain West Championship should be pretty clear.

Good game for the Broncos this past week. According to Coach Yates, the run defense was scaled back a bit to be focused towards Colorado State’s pass offense. The offense was pretty much on point although Rypien did throw his first pick. I was off on my game prediction again. I think me being wrong is a thing nowSaturday Night Live was hosted by Amy Schumer. It was funny.  But it wasn’t  great. I expected more from her… Looks like the Broncos have moved back into the top 20 of the Coaches Poll at #20. And, for the AP Poll, the move up to #21. In both cases, they are the highest among the Group of 5 conferences

Since both USC and Oregon both lost at home this week, there’s a lot of talk about Chip Kelly going back to the Pac-12. It could work at USC but the Ducks are a lost cause with the current players they have. I think their recruiting has been down recently. That’s the problem… This week in Bowl Predictions: Jerry Palm (CBS Sports) has the Broncos vs. Utah in the Fiesta Bowl. Brett McMurphy (ESPN) has BSU headed to the Las Vegas Bowl against the Ducks. And Mark Schlabach (ESPN) also has Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl against Notre DameCongrats to Brook Heidemann (soccer) and Sierra Nobley (volleyball) on being named Mountain West Offensive Players of the Week in their respective sports!… I think USC had to fire Steve Sarkisian this year. He was becoming a major distraction. I wish him well with his recovery. Great coach but bad choices… Sad to see Steve Spurrier retire. He’s one of college football’s great coaches and characters. While he hasn’t won a championship in a long time, he’s always been in the national spotlight. He will be missed… Here are the games I partook in this week: SMU/Houston, Washington/USC, NC State/Virginia Tech, Indiana/Penn State, Oklahoma/Texas, Virginia/Pitt, Kent State/Toledo, Georgia/Tennessee, Georgia Tech/Clemson, Navy/Notre Dame, Washington State/Oregon, TCU/Kansas State, Boise State/Colorado State (radio), ECU/BYU, Oklahoma State/West Virginia, Miami/Florida State, Cal/Utah, and SDSU/Hawaii… Big news out of the magazine world this week. Playboy will be discontinuing showing full nudity. That’s crazy after 60 years. The internet ruins print publications again… This week, we get the pleasure of CBS Sports Network again this week. I know you’re excited for the return of Aaron Taylor. Of course, there’s something you should know about him:

You hate and loathe him. He was a pretty decent player in college. So was Rick Mirer.

This week, I’m going to go old school on ya!  Hopefully we get to see the Broncos go on a Rampage!

I’m hoping for a blowout tonight.  I’ll go with Broncos 54 Aggies 20.  And that 20 is not going to be on the 1s. Enjoy your week, everyone.  And remember, spread kindness like confetti. -The Diggitys
